Jim Corbett National Park New Name: As of August 2023, Jim Corbett National Park won’t change its name. In October 2022, there were some rumors that the park would be renamed Ramganga National Park in honor of the river that runs through it. The forest department and the government of Uttarakhand have, however, officially announced that the park’s name would not change.
After visiting the park in October 2022, Union Minister of State for Forest and Environment Ashwini Kumar Choubey proposed renaming it. He suggested that the park be renamed Ramganga National Park in a visitor book at a museum. But many others, including experts on wildlife, conservationists, and visitors, opposed his plan.
