Name of Post :- Assistant Jailor
Total Post of vacancy :- 32 Posts.

Pay Scale :- Rs. 14,000-60,500 (Pay Band No.2) and Grade pay Rs. 8700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules

Eligibility Criteria Of Prison Department Notification-2023

Educational Qualification :- The candidate must be a graduate in Arts /Science/ Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College / Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.
Employment Exchange Registration :- Candidates must register his/her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Nationality :- Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam.
Language :- Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Application Fee :- There is no application fee pay.
Relaxations :-
Upper age limit will be relaxed for:-
1. 05 (five) years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST(H).
2. 03 (three) years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
3. 02 (two) years for candidates of Ex-Servicemen.

Candidates Physical Fitness Details :- 

1. Chest (only for men): measuring not less than 81 cm when deflated.
2. Weight (for Male & Female candidates): proportionate to height and age as per
   medical standard.
3. Candidates must be of sound health both mentally and physically, and free from
   organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of his /her duties.
4. Candidates required to undergo and Medical Examination as may be necessary
   before appointment to the service.
