Educational Qualification :
Must be graduate with diploma/degree in Library Science from a recognized University.
Desirable : Knowledge of Computer Applications in a Library.
Age Limit : Maximum 40 years as on the last date of online application.
Age Relaxation :
- 03 years upper age limit relaxation for candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC category.
- 05 years upper age limit relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category.
- 10 years upper age limit relaxation for PWD candidates.

Gauhati High Court Recruitment Selection Process
Stage I : Written examination: 120 marks
Written examination (objective type multiple choices) of 2 hours duration and the same will contain questions
- General Knowledge (40 marks)
- Library Science (40 marks)
- General Aptitude (20 marks)
- Assamese (20 marks)
Stage II : Interview/Viva Voce: 20 marks
Candidates equal to 3 times the number of vacancies (3 candidates against 1 post) on the basis of merit in the written examination will be called to appear in the written examination.
Final Selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in Stage I and Stage II. Where more than one candidate obtains the same grand total marks, the candidate who obtains more marks in the written examination will get preference. Where the marks obtained by such candidates in the written examination are also the same, then the candidate who is senior in age will get preference.
