44 vacancy of Senior Scientist-cum-Head, Subject Matter Specialist, Programme Assistant (Lab.Technician), Programme Assistant (Computer), Farm Manager, Junior Stenographer cum Computer Operator, Driver and Supporting Staff Grade I under Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Assam Agriculture University. 1. Name of the post :- Senior Scientist-cum-Head
No of Post :- 05 Posts
Reservation :- OBC/MOBC-02, ST(P)-01, SC-01, PwD-01.
Pay Scale :- Rs. 1,31400/-(Level 13 A in Pay Matrix, 7 Pay, ICAR norms.
Essential Qualification : Doctoral degree in the relevant field of Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Fisheries /Community Science/ Horticulture/ Sericulture with 8 years experience(excluding/ Community Science/ Horticulture/ Sericulture with 8 years experience (excluding the period
spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band 3 of Rs. 15,600/- Rs. 39,100/- with grade pay of Rs. 5,400/ Rs. 6,000/-, Rs. 7,000/-, Rs. 8,000/-, (as per 6“ CPC report) having contributions to research/ teachings extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

Desirable :- Specializations in implementing extension education programme.

Essential Qualification

4. Name of the post : Programme Assistant Computer) (T4)

Initial pay : Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix,7 Pay, ICAR norms

6. Name of the post : Stenographer Grade-III (Junior Stenogtapher cum Computer Operator)

Initial pay : Rs. 25,500/- (Level 4 in Pay Matrix, 7Pay, ICAR norms
Reservation of posts: SC-1, PWD-1
Essential Qualification : Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with working
knowledge of comp (minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer Application.
Professional Efficeincy : The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at
80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 50
minutes on computer.

7. Name of the post : Driver (T1) (Driver-cum-Mechanic)
No. of posts : 2 (Two)
Initial pay : Rs.21,700/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix,7 Pay, ICAR norms)
Reservation of posts: UR- 1, ST(P)-1
Essential Qualification :-
1. Passed HSLC or its equivalent examinations from a recognized board.
2. Driving license for both heavy (Tractor, power tiller etc.) and light vehicles from the appropriate Authority (the candidate will have to pass the practical skill test to be taken by an appropriate Committee of the University.
3. Two (2) years experience of driving.
Desirable :
1. One year trade certificate in the relevant field from ITI.
2. Experience of motor mechanic work.

8. Name of the post : Supporting Staff— Grade – I
No. of posts : 12 (Twelve)
Initial pay : Rs.18,000/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix, 7 Pay, ICAR norms)
Reservation of posts : UR-4, SC-2, ST(P)-1, ST(H)-2, OBC/MOBC-1, PWD-2
Essential Qualification :- Matriculation or equivalent pass or ITI pass.

Other Criteria Of AAU Jorhat Recruitment 2023

The candidates who are permanent residents of Assam should only apply for all category
of posts except for the post at Sl No I.
Age relaxation for the reserve category will be as per norms of the Govt. of Assam
Age Limit :-
1. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Senior Scientist-cum-Head is 47 years as on 01.01.2023.
However there is no upper age limit for in service candidates.
2. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Subject flatter Specialist, Programme Assistant
(Lab. Technician), Programme Assistant (Computer), Farm Manager is 38 years as on 01.01.2023.
3. Maximum upper age limit for the Post of Stenographer Grade —III, Driver & Supporting Staff is 40 years as on 01.01.2023.
